Clearing the cobwebs...

Wow, looks like the dust and cobwebs have settled in over here.  Time to tidy up and see if we can get some more paints posted up here.  There have been a few paints to post up along with a few more in the works.  I've also been revisiting some older ones and of course there is plenty of stuff in my head with not enough time to put them down.

Mustang Challenge Series

Built for testing out a future spec series for EXODUS Racing, this S197 Mustang Challenge racer is based on the FR500S and is quite a bit of fun to drive right out of the gate.  Deciding that it was time for a paint job reflective of the series, I started work on a paint where I envisioned the BOSS Racing team from the ITC series moving up to this level with the help of their sponsors Aviat Technology Solutions and Phantomwerkz.  This paint started out as something completely different than what is shown here.  Sometimes the creative evolution is an interesting journey.  As usual, even with this scheme, I can envision revisions or changes.  Most likely though... it will stay about like this.
(still need to grab a few more shots but we'll start with this.)

EXODUS ITC Series... BOSS Racing

Not too much design work able to happen lately, but this little ride was put together for the EXODUS Racing - Improved Touring C390 (ITC) Series.  The idea behind this series was for a grass roots type level race series with cars from model years 1985-2000 with a purchase price no higher than $25,000 and  no higher PI than C390 and able to reach that level with a Race Roll Cage installed.  Blue Oval Sport Series Racing (BOSS Racing) was formed as a 2-car team running the 1993 SVT Cobra R.  Keeping it "grass roots" no fancy paint jobs were expected in this series so here's the Aviat Technology/Phantomwerkz  #13 series entry.

Final design for Team Exodus Racing presented by Phantomwerkz sent out to all three drivers (Popolac's shown here).
Good luck boys on tearing up the track and thanks for letting me paint up your rides and representing EXOR and Phantomwerkz.

Happy New Year to 2012!!

Been on a little bit of a break, though a few logos and paint have trickled out of the shop.  I've also changed up the current "official" Phantomwerkz paint scheme a bit.  In most cases we'll be running a color shift Silver (non-metallic silver in some cases), Lime accent and subdued grey graphics.  Two tone versions most likely to be with Black.

Here's a couple of examples with the Corvette C6R and the fun little Datsun 510 race car.
Worked on some MOPAR logos and stripes for the storefront and slapped them on a '09 Challenger for a quick display.
Hope everyone had a great holiday season and here's to a wonderful 2012!!
